About the Role :

Our client, a dynamic and growing organization in the Branchburg, NJ area, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a hands-on role responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial reporting, supporting month- and year-end close activities, cash management, forecasting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full month- and year-end close , including balance sheet and P&L analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries

Handle monthly intercompany / subsidiary billings and quarterly intercompany reconciliations

Perform daily cash reconciliation and monthly bank and investment account reconciliations

Conduct weekly cash analysis and forecasting

Collaborate with Project Managers and the Controller for monthly receivables review and follow-up

Support monthly forecasting and prepare financial reports and analysis for quarterly business development meetings

Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns (monthly / quarterly / annual)

Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns

Cross-train across accounting functions and support ad hoc projects, schedules, analysis, and reporting as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required ; CPA preferred

Experience in both public accounting and private industry is highly desirable

Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, organized, professional, and reliable

Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment

Advanced Excel skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Teams environment preferred
