Job Summary

The Transplant Organizational Consultant is responsible for identifying, building and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with new and existing clients to build referral volume for solid organ transplant programs. Activities include identifying and influencing potential customers to generate new business, working closely with network of strategic alliance partners to identify joint business opportunities to increase customer value and drive revenue growth.

This position applies advanced knowledge of business development to lead and facilitate strategic growth projects and initiatives in solid organ transplant. Implements operational changes that expand the reach of existing clinical programs, increase access to services, and improve patient care delivery. Drives initiatives that leverage technology and standardized processes.

The Transplant Organizational Consultant is a technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources, functions with a high degree of autonomy.

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • 5 years experience in business development strategy in the healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of business development concepts, best practices, and functions.
  • Advanced analytical, critical-thinking and problem solving skills to assess complex issues and develop solutions.
  • Advanced planning, project management, change management, process improvement skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to lead and work collaboratively and effectively with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including ability to positively interact with executives, providers, and staff at all levels.
  • Advanced ability to develop comprehensive reports and presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software and database applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and influence others.
  • Ability to achieve measurable results in a diverse stakeholder landscape balancing competing and conflicting interests.

    The Transplant Center is a UCDH clinical center responsible for the centralized

    administrative management and coordination of pre and post transplant patient care to

    UCDHS patients requiring solid organ transplants. This centralized office also includes

    the management of our outpatient clinic located in the Cypress Building and 48X.
