Job description

We are seeking an experienced MetaSwitch Manager to lead the engineering and operational management of carrier-grade voice switching and signaling platforms . This role will oversee a team responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of MetaSwitch Call Feature Server (CFS), UMG, and SBC infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of reliability, quality, and performance across the voice network.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth in voice and IP networking with leadership experience , driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across switching platforms.

Experience & Skills :

  • 10+ years of experience in voice switching, IP networking, and operations , including at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity .
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with MetaSwitch Call Feature Server (CFS), UMG, and SBC platforms .
  • Deep understanding of SIP, ISUP, SS7, and IP voice protocols .
  • Proven experience with IP routing, switching, and network design principles .
  • Knowledge of IMS / VoLTE architectures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BroadSoft Class 5 or other voice switching systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across technical and business teams to drive network reliability and innovation.

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for MetaSwitch deployment, operation, and maintenance.
  • Oversee day-to-day performance, troubleshooting, and optimization of CFS, UMG, and SBC nodes.
  • Ensure network availability and KPI compliance across all voice switching systems.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point (Tier 3+) for complex call flow, signaling, and routing issues.
  • Oversee capacity planning, license management, and software / hardware upgrades .
  • Drive the engineering roadmap for MetaSwitch and voice network evolution in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Develop and enforce operational standards, change control processes, and documentation .
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (IP core, transport, OSS, field operations) for seamless integration and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with vendors and OEMs on new feature implementations, system patches, and performance improvements.
  • Guide and mentor engineering staff on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvements.
  • Champion automation and efficiency initiatives to improve operational workflows.
  • Maintain alignment with company objectives for service quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction .

    • Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
