Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a MA RN license, recent L&D and OR circulator experience, and advanced fetal monitoring skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 9 labor rooms, 2 operating / recovery rooms, and 5 triage rooms
  • Handles approximately 3,000 deliveries per year
  • Night shifts are 12 hours, with 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday shifts are required
  • Care for high-risk obstetric patients is preferred
  • Must independently read and interpret telemetry strips and pass a telemetry test with at least 85% on Day 1
  • EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
  • Responsibilities include direct care of laboring and postpartum women, operating room circulator duties, triage, and monitoring of high-risk pregnancies
  • Must wear appropriate scrubs as dictated by department policy
  • Holiday coverage will be on an alternating basis
  • Coursework in Dysrhythmia / Telemetry interpretation is preferred
  • Local and travel candidates are both considered with no pay rate difference except where specified for certain units

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required, with all NRP lessons completed and valid for the duration of the assignment
  • Evidence of completion of an Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course, preferably AWHONN
  • Minimum of 2 recent years of L&D RN and OR circulator experience required
  • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital required
  • Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test; can only be taken twice
  • Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
  • CNM experience will not be considered
  • At least 2 professional references, one from a manager-level or above and including a performance evaluation, are required, with at least one evaluation within the last 12 months
