Job description

S+H Search is assisting a Massachusetts-based payroll and HR services organization in the search for a Corporate Development Manager / Sr. Manager . This hybrid role will play a key part in building out the company's high-velocity M&A function, with responsibility across sourcing, diligence, and execution.

This opportunity offers end-to-end deal exposure, equity and commission upside, and a clear path to a Director-level role as the team continues to expand. It's an ideal fit for candidates who are excited by a fast-paced growth environment and want to make a meaningful impact in shaping an acquisition engine.

Responsibilities

  • Source and maintain a pipeline of qualified acquisition targets.
  • Execute outbound outreach and lead discovery conversations with business owners.
  • Track activity and maintain deal flow using CRM and pipeline tools.
  • Support deal execution across diligence, modeling, and structuring.
  • Represent the company externally at industry conferences and networking events.
  • Partner with senior leadership on integration planning and execution.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, M&A advisory, or related field.
  • Hands-on deal execution experience including diligence, financial modeling, and structuring.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with founder-led businesses.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and outbound prospecting a plus.
