We are seeking a motivated seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team from January through May. Experience with preparing tax returns using UltraTax is preferred.

Minimum two years of experience required.

Jones & Company CPAs PA is a well-established and growing small firm located in New Port Richey, FL. The hours of operation change during the year. We pride ourselves on building strong client relationships and helping businesses thrive. During off season, the workweek is 38 hours per week and during the summer the office is closed on Fridays. During tax season, additional hours are required including Saturdays, and it ranges about 45 to 55 hours per week.

Responsibilities :

Preparation of tax returns for individuals and businesses

• Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
• Collaborate with senior staff on various accounting projects
• Qualifications
• Knowledge of tax preparation, financial services, and accounting principles
• High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
