Senior Panel Technicians(LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY, PER DIEM NOT OFFERED)Senior Pneumatic Panel TechniciansWe are seeking a highly skilled Panel Integration Technicians to join our dynamic team of experts. Your role will involve fabricating, inspecting, and testing Ground Safety Equipment assembly's & panel / racks integral to our various spaceflight systems.Positions are contract-to-hire opportunities. This position is expected to be 100% onsite with limited travel. Any work location outside home base (more then 50 Miles) would be reimbursed with local GSA rates. Roles would start in a shop environment in WESTERN FLORIDA TAMPA and transition into the field at KENNEDY SPACE CENTER (if desired) after completionPosition Overview / Job Summary : Panel Technicians II-Ill are responsible for integrating electronic equipment systems for space system components for the Artemis programs. Technicians are also responsible for assembling of complex electromechanical racks, panels and subassemblies As the Panel Technician, your contributions will be critical to ensuring safe, consistent, and groundbreaking advancements in human spaceflight. Key Responsibilities (responsibilities include but are not limited to) : Performing installation of avionic components and systems, ensuring operational reliability and adherence to design specifications.Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assemblyMount and install components, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), relays, contactors, switches and terminal blocks in panel enclosures. Assembles cables, buses, and electromechanical systemsRead instructions such as work orders, diagrams and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assemblyMeasures, cuts, solders and or crimps wire and contacts to fabricate wire harnessConduct detailed installations, including tubing and intricate cable harness configurations, ensuring all avionic installations meet safety and quality standardsInspect, test and verify avionics assemblies against technical models, drawings, specification and work instructions.Troubleshoot panel system issues, carrying out necessary modifications, rework, repairs or maintenance to resolve malfunctionsEnsure the optimal function of GSE systems by conducting thorough inspections, cleanings, measurements and testing activitiesUnderstand and adheres to quality management systems standards, requirements and proceduresCollaborate with teams to perform in-field harness installationsSpearhead continuous improvement efforts in avionic installation processes, prioritizing safety and operational efficiency.Maintain a collaborative team environment, effectively balancing multiple priorities and adapting to rapidly evolving project needs.Treat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintainedBasic Qualifications : oHigh school diploma or GEDoMust be a US Citizen oMust be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education.oMust be physically capable to conduct field inspections and participate in project walkdowns which require the following activities : extensive walking in and around a shop and construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in very small and / or confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 lbs.oAssociate degree in related field preferred. Experience in lieu of college education will be considered.oThree (3+) years' experience as an electrical / cable fabrication technician or other relevant industry experience. Applicants with experience that exceed the minimum may be considered for a higher-level Avionics Technician position. Minimum Qualifications : oPrevious Experience working with panel, wiring and mechanical installs & experience with engineering drawings, wire diagrams, and electrical schematics oProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.oExperience with avionics / panel manufacturing and operation of related test equipment. Proficiency in harsh environment test & assembly procedures.oAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.oExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.oFamiliarity with industry standards such as IPC / WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, and ANSI / ESD S20.20.oProficient in using measurement tools and understanding basic math concepts. oCommitment to providing the highest quality products and services that meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of our customer, actively pursuing opportunities for continual improvements of service quality.Desired / Preferred Qualifications : oFurther technical training or industry certification preferred. Any trade school training and / or degree in related field or previous military experienceoA minimum of 5-10 years in a manufacturing role in aerospace or similar industry, with a focus on rack or panel fabrication.oProven success as a "hands-on" technical leaderoWork optimally with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilitiesoPneumatic, Electromechanical systems and electrical / mechanical assembly background.oIPC J-Std-001 and / or IPC-620 certification, NASA space addendum 8739.4 certified are a plus.oStrong communication and interpersonal skills.oAbility to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix problems that may arise.oAbility to collaborate with many different teams / individuals to reach a common goal by building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation maintaining positive and professional relationships, and contributing to a culture of inclusionShift / ScheduleThis position is for the day shift generally working 7 : 00am - 5 : 30pm, which includes two 15-minute break and 30-minute unpaid lunch.
