Our client is a trusted consulting engineering firm with more than 30 years of experience designing high-quality mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems. Our team partners with architects, builders, and clients across diverse industries to create efficient, sustainable, and innovative building solutions.
Position Details Location : SE Portland
Pay : $25 - $35 per hour, DOE
Hours : Full-Time

What You'll Do Detail-oriented Mechanical Designer with strong Revit expertise and solid experience in HVAC system design . Skilled in creating accurate models, supporting engineers, and meeting project deadlines. Proficient in AutoCAD, but Revit is the primary strength .
Key Responsibilities Develop and update detailed Revit models for HVAC systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
Collaborate with project engineers and architects to coordinate mechanical designs with other building systems.
Prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems.
Assist in load calculations, equipment selection, and layout of ductwork, piping, and other HVAC components.
Review and update design documents to reflect project changes and client requirements.
Support project deadlines by managing assigned tasks efficiently and communicating progress with the engineering team.
Ensure designs meet building codes, industry standards, and company quality expectations.
What You Need to Have Proven proficiency in Revit (primary requirement) for mechanical / HVAC system design and documentation.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.
Experience preparing construction documents and technical drawings.
Ability to read, interpret, and update blueprints and project specifications.
Knowledge of building codes and industry standards related to mechanical design.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, architects, and project teams.
Familiarity with AutoCAD (preferred, but not required).
