Vehicle Upfitting Technician.
The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, automotive knowledge, and
12V experience .

for the trainee-level positions.
The
Vehicle Upfitting Technician
plays a critical role in ensuring that our first responders operate safe, reliable, and effective vehicles.
The
Vehicle Upfitting Technicians
are tasked with installing the following equipment: Emergency Vehicle Lighting and Control Systems, Sirens, Prisoner Transport Systems, Radios, Radar, In-Car-Camera Systems, License Plate Readers, Equipment Consoles and Cargo Cabinets, Weapon and Drone mounting systems, and front push bars, to name a few.
Compensation and Benefits
Experienced technician pay is $25 per hour and up, depending on experience.
Trainee-level technicians pay $20-$24, depending on experience. Bonus potential after satisfactorily completing the initial training period Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision) Paid time off and holidays 401K Schedule
Full Time-Hourly Monday-Friday 7:00 – 3:30 pm. Estimated start date late June of 2026 Location

Attributes of a Strong Candidate
Ability to work with hand and power tools such as screw drivers, wrenches, hand drills, etc. Proven 12V experience -
a must for experienced Ability to read
blueprints/schematics

a must for experienced Capability to bend, twist, reach, and lift to 50 lbs. without assistance Aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from various sources is necessary for apprentice-level consideration Strong Work Ethic Capacity to work independently and/or in a team environment Pre-Employment Background Check High School Diploma Primary Responsibilities
Removal of factory interior and exterior equipment and parts Installation of specialized emergency vehicle Lightbars, Emergency lighting, Push Bumpers, Sirens, Controllers, Speakers, Partitions, Window Bars, Prisoner seats, Gun racks, in-car video, Computers, License Plate Recognition, and much more Attention to detail as it relates to job progress and tracking of hours
