PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities of Project Accountant
- Process monthly client invoicing for assigned projects
- Create, update, verify, and understand project budgets
- Communicate with Project Management regarding project costs, project status and project performance / profitability
- Educate Project Management on financial aspects of project accountability
- Prepare and submit MBE reporting and other project-specific reporting requirements
- Process consultant invoices and determine payments due to consultants based on daily accounts receivable
- Generate and distribute monthly project and profitability reports
- Prepare special project analyses for the CFO & Project Management
- Assist in training and education on financial aspects of project management to various groups within the organization
- Grow and develop to support department and organization growth
Requirements of Project Accountant
Minimum 3 years of relevant experienceStrong working knowledge of project budgeting and billing, general ledger, and month-end closing processesComputer proficient, especially surrounding Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint and Microsoft ExcelMust be extremely detailed oriented and able to work independentlyBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experienceSalary : $90,000-$110,000. up to 5% discretionary bonus
