Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary : The inventory control specialist has the primary responsibility of increasing and maintaining company profitability through the reduction of process byproducts and maintaining accurate JIT inventory levels. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory by ensuring successful processes are in place to track inventory flow. The candidate also ensures that optimal inventory is present and ready for use.

Essential Functions

• Implement and maintain a program to reduce the amount of process byproducts through close collaboration with the technical department and production
• Maintains inventory records and audits inventory / inventory flow to ensure compliance with processes
• Check daily production outputs to ensure accuracy of material produced and pulled
• Closes production work orders accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all materials are available for planned and scheduled production
• Work with procurement to ensure JIT inventory and achieve a 45 day turn cycle average
• Conduct cycle count inventory processes to ensure accuracy
• Help to develop and maintain an effective label control program
• Maintains control of inventory records for all customer product labels
• Be familiar with and support the effort of implementing the quality policy and ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 (if applicable) Quality Systems
