A company is looking for a Coder II to work remotely in specific states.
Key Responsibilities
Codes outpatient records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 classification systems
Ensures proper coding and charge entry for all coded records
Inputs coding and patient information in the appropriate computer systems for billing and abstracting purposes and corrects discrepancies
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Six months of acute care hospital outpatient coding experience
Certification required by September 22, 2025 (RHIA / RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC-H, or CPC)
Current incumbents must obtain required certification by December 1, 2025
Preferred experience includes at least one year of coding emergency room and outpatient clinical records in a large acute care teaching facility
