Operations Research Analyst, Senior

Opportunity As an operations research analyst, you’re passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced research analyst to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our analysis and plans team, you’ll evaluate data assessment strategies such as mathematical and statistical modeling, data analysis, and decision support analytics processes to deliver solutions. You’ll work alongside our robust team and industry experts to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret military programmatic or cost data using cost and benefit analyses, what‑if analyses, optimization, and economic modeling. Once documented, you’ll develop working documents and presentations, including descriptive language and graphs, to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency. In this role, you’ll use your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques using mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, and operational mathematics techniques such as probability models, statistical inference, simulations, and optimization, along with other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. Use your operations research knowledge to develop technologies and concepts that advance support to a Combatant Command’s actions and activities in their area of responsibility. You Have 10+ years of experience with mathematical or analytic methodologies such as Operations Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) or data science Experience developing analytic methodologies, metrics, and decision criteria Experience leveraging scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses Experience using automated statistical packages in support of analysis projects Experience preparing and presenting senior leadership briefings and papers Experience with software programs that analyze data such as R, Python, or SQL Experience collaborating with other analysts in an integrated development environment TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Data Science, or a STEM field Nice If You Have Experience with the CENTCOM AOR Experience with decision models, nodal or flow modeling, trending and forecasting, and cost or benefit analysis Experience with code repositories, and data or information management Experience with wargaming, simulation, and geospatial analysis Experience with resource allocation Experience with survey design or analysis, and interview techniques Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Master's degree in Operations Research, Data Science, or a STEM field Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
