This is a part-time (20 / hours per week) role. The MRI technologist is needed to provide exams in the ED, inpatient, and outpatient areas. The position is for day shift, but holiday, weekend, and on-call rotation are required.
Radiology candidates who accept a part-time or full-time position with University Hospitals are eligible for :

A career as a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologist is exciting for those who are passionate about health care, patient comfort and saving lives. As a technologist, you are asked to operate MRI scanners and to ensure that the procedure produces quality images and information for the health care professional to make an accurate diagnosis. You have the chance to work and interact directly with patients as you ensure that they are comfortable and calm. Utilize your medical knowledge by interviewing patients, explaining the procedure and placing the patient in the appropriate spot on the table. Technologists are also organized, detail-oriented people who are familiar with the anatomical area that is being scanned and the patient's history. Develop relationships with patients as you help diagnose their condition as an MRI technologist.
A Brief Overview
Performs MRI scans at the direction of physician protocol. Provides compassionate age-specific care to patientsfrom neonates through geriatrics.

Education
Associate's Degree Completion of an accredited 2 year program in a school of Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology (Required) orOther Accredited Program : Completion of an accredited program in a school of Sonography with current ARDMS certificate (Required) andHigh School Equivalent / GED (Required)Work Experience
MR scanning experience. (Preferred)Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of sterile and surgical procedures. (Required proficiency)Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety in MRI environment. (Required proficiency)Knowledge of radiology information system.
