We are looking for a skilled and strategic Purchase & Sales Specialist to join our team in Fort Mill, South Carolina. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing procurement operations, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of supply chain processes, vendor management, and the landscaping industry.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with company objectives and project deadlines.
- Oversee the procurement process for landscaping materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-efficient acquisition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure quality materials at competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to optimize costs and ensure reliability.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, inventory levels, and budget reports to support efficient operations.
- Forecast material needs based on project plans, seasonal demand, and inventory trends.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure material availability and address procurement challenges.
- Stay informed about market trends, product availability, and potential supply chain risks to mitigate disruptions.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in purchasing within the landscaping, construction, or agricultural industries.
- Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization, and negotiation.
- Proficiency in procurement software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of vendor and inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with landscaping materials, tools, and equipment is highly preferred.
