Palm Beach County is hiring : PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST in Delray Beach

Overview

The Public Relations Specialist will serve as the content creator for the Public Relations / Marketing department. The person in this role will work closely with management to develop original content for Palm Tran’s social media channels and marketing campaigns. Responsibilities will include creating a range of content, such as filming and editing videos, basic graphic design, photography, and writing for both internal and external communications. The role will also involve supporting the development of marketing and public relations campaigns and materials.

Reporting

Work is performed under the general direction of the Senior Manager of Public Relations and is reviewed through conferences, reports, and evaluation of results obtained.

Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree in Journalism, English or a related field and one (1) year of experience in public affairs or public relations, including publications writing.
• Equivalency : High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience as listed above.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field and minimum of two (2) years of experience as described above.

Licenses

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License

Languages

Bilingual (English / Spanish and / or English / Creole).
