About The Job

We are seeking a Freight Audit & Pay Analyst. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between our organization and our third-party freight audit and pay (FAP) provider. This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end freight invoice audit process, ensuring accuracy in billing, driving visibility into transportation spend, and supporting compliance with company policies and contractual agreements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in logistics or transportation finance, and the ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders and external service providers. This role offers the opportunity to build visibility and control over a critical area of our logistics and transportation function. As the Freight Audit & Pay Analyst, you will play a key part in ensuring cost accuracy, strengthening supplier partnerships, and driving continuous improvement in our global transportation operations.

What You'll Do

Vendor & Provider Liaison

  • Act as the primary point of contact for our third-party FAP provider, ensuring timely communication, issue resolution, and adherence to service level agreements.

Freight Invoice Oversight

  • Review, approve, and reconcile freight invoices processed through the FAP system. Identify discrepancies, validate against contracts and rates, and resolve exceptions.
  • Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure that all freight invoices meet company compliance standards, agreed rate structures, and regulatory requirements. Escalate and follow up on disputed charges.
  • Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of freight spend data. Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into freight costs, carrier performance, and audit exceptions.
  • Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, procurement, and logistics teams to support payment cycles, month-end close, and freight accrual processes.
  • Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and strengthen controls in freight audit and pay operations. Partner with providers and carriers to implement improvements.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight finance (experience with freight audit & pay programs strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with transportation modes (parcel, LTL, TL, ocean, air) and associated billing practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, or FAP platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with global freight audit & pay providers.
  • Knowledge of freight contracts, tariffs, and accessorial charges.
  • Ability to manage high-volume data with accuracy and timeliness.
