ICU RN Job Details – Abilene, TX Location : Abilene, Texas 79601

Healthcare Setting : LTACH – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : December 29, 2025

Contract Duration : 8 weeks

Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)

Total Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

At least 2 years of recent ICU or Intermediate Care (IMC) nursing experience

Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

Proven experience in ICU and IMC level patient care

COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Ability to manage patient ratios up to 1 : 5 in a critical care setting

ICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU / IMC environment

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and progress

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Ensure patient safety and adhere to infection control and hospital protocols

Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
