American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS certification and strong OB / GYN and general ultrasound experience for a variable shift contract.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a large acute care teaching hospital within the general ultrasound unitPatient population includes OB / GYN (all trimesters), adult, and occasional pediatric casesDuties include OB / GYN, general abdominal, vascular, pelvic / genitourinary, and small parts imagingWork schedule primarily involves 1st or 2nd shift Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and night shifts requiredOn-call rotation required with staff participationFloating to other shifts may be requiredEMR system is Epic; prior Epic experience is requiredExpect to work at least one holiday per 13-week contractAll requests for time off must be provided during the application processCandidates who reside within 100 miles of the facility are not eligiblePrevious employees must have a minimum one-year gap before returning as a traveler, and may not return at all if their last assignment exceeded 365 daysModules and Epic training are required and may be completed during orientation or in advanceScrubs or dress code details not specified; follow facility policyFirst-time travelers considered with ample ultrasound experience\n \n Requirements\n
Active ARDMS and BLS certifications requiredProficiency in OB / GYN imaging across all trimesters, including fetal anatomical surveysExperience with general abdominal, aortic / vascular, pelvic, and small parts studiesMinimum five years of ultrasound experience required for first-time travelersLicense required if applicableMust be able to perform portable studies and adapt to varied work settingsTwo references required for consideration\n Benefits\n
