Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS certification and strong OB / GYN and general ultrasound experience for a variable shift contract.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a large acute care teaching hospital within the general ultrasound unit
  • Patient population includes OB / GYN (all trimesters), adult, and occasional pediatric cases
  • Duties include OB / GYN, general abdominal, vascular, pelvic / genitourinary, and small parts imaging
  • Work schedule primarily involves 1st or 2nd shift Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and night shifts required
  • On-call rotation required with staff participation
  • Floating to other shifts may be required
  • EMR system is Epic; prior Epic experience is required
  • Expect to work at least one holiday per 13-week contract
  • All requests for time off must be provided during the application process
  • Candidates who reside within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible
  • Previous employees must have a minimum one-year gap before returning as a traveler, and may not return at all if their last assignment exceeded 365 days
  • Modules and Epic training are required and may be completed during orientation or in advance
  • Scrubs or dress code details not specified; follow facility policy
  • First-time travelers considered with ample ultrasound experience

  • Active ARDMS and BLS certifications required
  • Proficiency in OB / GYN imaging across all trimesters, including fetal anatomical surveys
  • Experience with general abdominal, aortic / vascular, pelvic, and small parts studies
  • Minimum five years of ultrasound experience required for first-time travelers
  • License required if applicable
  • Must be able to perform portable studies and adapt to varied work settings
  • Two references required for consideration
