POSITION : Lead Teachers support the General Manager and Department of Education by providing programming expertise, onboarding help, and continued coaching for the teaching roster of YogaSix New Tampa. YogaSix Lead Teachers are experienced, passionate and dedicated professionals who are looking for a way to get more involved, beyond teacher classes, privates, and workshops. This part time position includes a flexible, rolling schedule as you are tasked with taking classes and offering feedback (using YogaSix’s empowering, student-focused approach) to other teachers on the team.
Average estimated time commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week, plus time teaching, depending on the needs and stage of the studio.
DUTIES
Delivering Exceptional ClassesHave a consistent presence teaching and practicing at YogaSix New TampaSigned off on all 6 core class types.Teach a minimum of 5 yoga classes (minimum of 3 different formats) in studio per week. Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to the Yoga Six standards and guidelines for each of the YogaSix core class typesSet up and manage the practice room appropriately : Props, Mat Spacing, Music, LightingProvide top notch class instructionDemonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success, whether novice or seasoned practitionerClean practice room space and prop room after each classTeacher Coaching & DevelopmentResponsible for recruiting, onboarding, coaching and developing teachersHave strong understanding of Yoga Six core formats, as well as distinguishing features between formats and provide feedback to teacher, General Manager and OwnerCoach teachers in a supportive, empowering way by illuminating areas of growth and acknowledging areas of skill & submit audition evaluation forms to General ManagerLead in-house format trainings (which include a full class experience) for training purposesBuilding Connection & CommunityArrive to studio prepared to connect with students a minimum of 15 minutes prior to class start timeCreate a personal connection with each studentFollow up with students / guests after class- 15 minutesSupport studio success (though extra attention of new students during their trial period, event promotion, and knowledge of special programs that are offered)JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Must be physically able to walk through the classroom freely in order to demo postures and transitions in a heated room, monitor students' movements, provide them with hands-on adjustments (as needed and if desired by students) and to facilitate dynamic, energizing, empowering and fun yoga and fitness classesThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.May be required to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time. May be required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, and drive a car. This job requires the person to climb up and down flights of stairs as elevators are not present at all locations. May be asked to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and the ability to adjust and focusMust be able to effectively hear in person and via telephoneCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS :
This position offers a competitive Hourly Rate plus an additional class rate based on experience and performance + Admin hours of up to 15 per week. Merchandise discount & 1 free family studio membership
