Job descriptionDelivering Exceptional Classes Have a consistent presence teaching and practicing at YogaSix New Tampa Signed off on all 6 core class types. Teach a minimum of 5 yoga classes (minimum of 3 different formats) in studio per week. Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to the Yoga Six standards and guidelines for each of the YogaSix core class types Set up and manage the practice room appropriately : Props, Mat Spacing, Music, Lighting Provide top notch class instruction Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success, whether novice or seasoned practitioner Clean practice room space and prop room after each class Teacher Coaching & Development Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, coaching and developing teachers Have strong understanding of Yoga Six core formats, as well as distinguishing features between formats and provide feedback to teacher, General Manager and Owner Coach teachers in a supportive, empowering way by illuminating areas of growth and acknowledging areas of skill & submit audition evaluation forms to General Manager Lead in-house format trainings (which include a full class experience) for training purposes Building Connection & Community Arrive to studio prepared to connect with students a minimum of 15 minutes prior to class start time Create a personal connection with each student Follow up with students / guests after class- 15 minutes Support studio success (though extra attention of new students during their trial period, event promotion, and knowledge of special programs that are offered) Minimum E-RYT 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification (RYT 500 or ERYT 500 Preferred) Current CPR Certification Warm, Approachable and Outgoing Personality Genuine ability to connect with complete strangers on a personal level Willingness to grow and remain a student forever A sense of humor Committed to always remain a student themselves, eager for growth, coaching, and continued development Interest in evolving skills as a teacher and knowledge of various styles Communication & People Skills Experience coaching and developing staff and effectively resolving personnel issues Uplift all Team Members by giving them the tools to succeed Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone and via email Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public Ability to stay calm at all times and act respectfully and professionally, even with customers who may voice frustrations Strong customer service skills Organizational, Professional, & Technological Professional, punctual, reliable and neat Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential studio information Proficient with computers and Studio software Lead Teacher reports to General Manager, with support and training coming from the Director of Education. Must be physically able to walk through the classroom freely in order to demo postures and transitions in a heated room, monitor students' movements, provide them with hands-on adjustments (as needed and if desired by students) and to facilitate dynamic, energizing, empowering and fun yoga and fitness classes The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. May be required to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time. May be required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, and drive a car. This job requires the person to climb up and down flights of stairs as elevators are not present at all locations. May be asked to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus Must be able to effectively hear in person and via telephone

COMPANY OVERVIEW : YogaSix believes everyone deserves the mind-body experience of yoga (and fitness!). YogaSix offers six core class types designed to accommodate students of all levels in a way that is energizing, empowering, and fun. YogaSix was established in 2012 and is the fastest growing boutique yoga company in the United States with over 200 independently owned and operated locations throughout the US.
POSITION : Lead Teachers support the General Manager and Department of Education by providing programming expertise, onboarding help, and continued coaching for the teaching roster of YogaSix New Tampa. YogaSix Lead Teachers are experienced, passionate and dedicated professionals who are looking for a way to get more involved, beyond teacher classes, privates, and workshops. This part time position includes a flexible, rolling schedule as you are tasked with taking classes and offering feedback (using YogaSix’s empowering, student-focused approach) to other teachers on the team.
Average estimated time commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week, plus time teaching, depending on the needs and stage of the studio.

This position offers a competitive Hourly Rate plus an additional class rate based on experience and performance + Admin hours of up to 15 per week. Merchandise discount & 1 free family studio membership
