Description : POSITION SUMMARY

The Licensed Clinical Professional will provide clinical support to staff for youth in care. The Licensed Clinical Professional will be responsible for providing Guidance or Consultation to the assigned teams within their agency utilizing a Guide Tree framework. The Licensed Clinical Professional will participate in a Competency and Certification (C&C) process to develop the skills needed to train, teach, and lead staff through the case conceptualization process, provide value-added feedback, as well as deliver trainings to staff in an engaging manner that also meets Guide Tree Fidelity standards.

The Licensed Clinical Professional will also be responsible for managing several meetings each week and month efficiently, coordinating with their agency leadership as well as with Youth Villages Guide Tree Service Manager to ensure effective implementation of Guide Tree. 50% of Licensed Clinical Professional role should be committed to Guide Tree Service activities and an additional 50% will be spent providing direct therapy services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Train Foundations based on Guide Tree Principles.
• Assist staff in completing case conceptualization and critical thinking that adheres to Guide Tree Fidelity.
• Maintains communication between staff, agency leadership, and Youth Villages
• Maintains meeting schedules and associated documentation.
• Maintain thorough guidance / consultation notes that meet fidelity standards.
• Participate in Competency and Certification process.
• Meet 2-year recertification expectations as appropriate.
• Must be certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and capable of performing crisis prevention and de- escalation techniques with fidelity to the TCI model. Expected to conduct TCI methods as required.
• Attend and rate staff Capstone presentations.
• Participates in clinical supervision to review assessments and service plans and identify additional evidence-based interventions as needed.
• Provides individual, group, and family therapy as needed in an office or out of office setting utilizing evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic approaches. Out of office settings may include but are not limited to the following : schools, homes, churches, residential, and community settings.
• Participates in clinical case staffing's and coordinates service delivery with clients and other professionals also serving the client.
• Assure proper billing for all services provided. Keeps up to date, timely and professional records at all times and adheres to all payer regulations. Complies with Medicaid Rule 132 and Managed Care Organization requirements.

• Completes professional documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency policy and Medicaid Rule.
• Provides diagnostic assessments and develops the Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs and Strengths (IM+CANS) and develops an Individualized Crisis Management Plan (ICMP). Reviews / revises the IM+CANS and ICMP a minimum of every three months.
• Provides individual, group and family therapy to client as prescribed in the IM+CANS. Provides crisis intervention as necessary. Works directly with identified clients and their identified support system to help them adjust to their life situation and to plan for their future needs.
• Performs other duties as reasonably assigned.

CARE & TCI

Hoyleton has adopted the CARE (Children and Residential Experience), developed by Cornell University, to guide our culture and practice. CARE is grounded in six core principles : Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship Based, Ecologically Oriented, Competence Centered, and Trauma Informed.

Completion of CARE and TCI training is an internal requirement for all staff and must be completed upon hire. Ongoing application of these principles is expected and essential to successful job performance.

Monthly refresher opportunities are provided. Employees who fall out of compliance may be required to retake the full course. Consistent participation and application of both CARE and TCI are essential to job performance.
