JOB SUMMARY :
The WMS Superuser oversees the administration of the company’s WMS reconciliation between Sunland’s WMS and customer systems. This individual serves as main point of contact on all WMS-related matters for the operation. This position is also responsible for the following : administration and maintenance of computer stations, troubleshooting, systems backups, and archiving. The superuser interacts with internal and external clients on all levels to help resolve WMS-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner. This includes tracking and documentation of user requests, engaging appropriate site / corporate / client resources to support the operation and timely closing of support service requests. The role also will improve systems configurations including areas such as WM put away rules, location profiling, and the like. Role will also be responsible for extracting data from systems to provide various reports to operational management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Knowledge / Experience / Skills :
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
4-Year College Degree preferred (computer science or related field of study) or comparable work experience
EXPERIENCE :
1-3 years experience in a similar position in a distribution center environment preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets. Written and oral communication skills in English are required.
REASONING ABILITY :
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Job requires physical stamina to be “on the floor” as needed to address issues or to lead projects in non-climate controlled environments including outdoors and covered storage. Works well under pressure and works as a team for the achievement of customer satisfaction.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Office environment is ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. The performance of this position also requires exposure to the warehouse areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and foot protection, and distracting noise levels.
