Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is currently hiring a CNC Surface Grinding Machinist for a prominent communications company in Cromwell, CT.

This position is responsible for setting up and working on grinding machines to grind internal and external cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal pieces.

Location : Cromwell, CT

Shift : 1st Shift

Payrate : $28.00-$30.00 / hr.

Responsibilities of a CNC Surface Grinding Machinist :

• Grind external or internal cylindrical tapered surfaces.
• Remove metal by the application of abrasives which are bonded to form a rotating wheel.
• Rough and finish flat, cylindrical, and conical surfaces.
• Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints.
• Determine product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground.
• Complete all labor tracking requirements and scan work orders to track labor and part quantities
• Collect and assemble required products.
• Determine grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor
• Willing to work overtime
