Location : This is a full-time position located in Augusta.
This position allows for partial telework with management approval.
The Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program is a supplemental nutrition program that supports participants with nutrition, education and breastfeeding support. WIC is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to assist with the management of WIC federal grants and program financial operations.
Core Responsibilities :
As a key member of the WIC team, your core responsibilities will include :
Minimum Qualifications :
Intermediate to advanced education, training, and / or experience in accounting, business administration, financial planning, budgeting, or another related field demonstrating competency in analyzing complex data and records, interpreting policies, rules, and laws, designing operational frameworks, identifying process and procedure deficiencies, and developing practical solutions.
Preferred candidates will have :
o Excellent oral and written communication skills.
o The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners.
o Computer skills, including knowledge of excel.
o The ability to guide strategic discussions and help groups to reach decisions that will further the mission of the WIC Program.
o Experience directly related to Federal Grants Management.
