Essential Functions

  • Review delinquent and charged-off auto loan accounts to determine collectability
  • Establish contact with customers to recover delinquencies and offer available solutions to repay their accounts placed with FHC
  • Initiate skip tracing to locate members and assets using available tools
  • Maintain accurate records of recovery actions and account status
  • Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, or reinstatement options to resolve outstanding balances
  • Ensure all performance deadlines, objectives, and goals are met as set by department standards
  • Adhere to consumer protection laws and FHC's standard practices and policies.

  • Must possess excellent verbal negotiation, customer service and persuasion skills.
  • Well organized, results driven, and able to work in a high volume and fast-paced office environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt and resolve challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, exercising sound judgement.
  • Ability to work required full time schedule, consisting of 3 shifts 8am-4 : 30pm EST and 2 shifts 11 : 30am-8pm EST. and potentially ad hoc Saturday's (8am-12pm).
  • Attendance and punctuality are a must. (Reliable transportation is required.)
  • Position Requirements

    Preferred Education & Experience

  • Prior automotive collections or asset recovery experience.
  • Understanding of repossession processes and skip tracing techniques.
  • Experience in debt collection, call center, financial services, or customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of collections and recovery procedures, including legal compliance
  • Familiarity with CRM and collections systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Will be required to pass Federal background screening and / or state level criminal background screening.

    Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this role, an employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or hear, in person and by telephone; use hands to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms. The employee could occasionally be required to or stand at their PC for the entirety of their shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Abilities to stare at computer during the entirety of their shift.

    Mental Demands - While performing the duties of this role, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information, and documents; analyze and solve problems; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks; work under intensive deadlines; and interact with vendors and staff in the course of work.
