Remote And Desk-Side Hardware Support

This position is responsible for performing remote and desk-side hardware support. Diagnose, implement and trouble shoot hardware and software including but not limited to operating systems, office applications, 3rd party applications, networks, computer operations and phone systems.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities :

• Provide end user support in a timely and courteous manner.
• Install hardware, software, operating systems and office applications including unpacking new equipment, installing and removing options in PCs, installing and configuring software, performing backups of workstations and servers, shutdown and moving workstations and performing PC installations and swaps.
• Assist with structured wiring systems, maintain, troubleshoot and support through vendor when necessary.
• Terminate Cat5 / 6 and coax cable.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and support network / software for Micros, Kronos, Digium VOIP phone systems, Key Systems, audio / video. Synkros, CashTrac, Maestro and wireless configurations.
• Enable / Disable user accounts; directory / email; as per procedure for new hire / termed users on all systems, printing of appropriate badges and maintain accurate records.
• Provide support for all departments for projects involving technology and information storage / retrieval. Maintain security of all casino IT facilities at all times.
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
• Initiates and maintains communication with subordinates, employees, management, and other departments in facilitating the flow of information throughout the property.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Deal tactfully with guests when handling unexpected situations, finding solutions that ensure customer satisfaction with minimal financial impact on casino operations.
• Communicates effectively with co-workers, management and guests.
• May be required to perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
