About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in a similar setting

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience
• Experience in telemetry
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic

Description :

Provide nursing care in a Medical Telemetry unit.

Work with patients requiring step-down care from intensive care units.

Manage patients without ventilator or pressor support.

Administer medications and manage infusions including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation.

Experience with telemetry is essential.

Familiarity with ER holding and managing higher oxygen demands is required.

Care for patients including those undergoing dialysis and with afib or post-heart cath.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and social services.

Maintain patient ratios of 6 : 1.

Must be willing to float to other units as necessary.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring patient vitals and performing specialized patient care tasks.

All candidates must demonstrate competencies and be qualified for the tasks assigned.
