Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring EPIC proficiency and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
  • May be required to float to other departments within competency and qualifications
  • May be placed on-call during regularly scheduled shifts
  • Uses EPIC charting system
  • Responsible for independently assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in the Emergency Department
  • May be required to teach, counsel, delegate to, or supervise others as part of care delivery
  • Must report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
  • Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screen results, with a firm document due date

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of practice is required; no pending licenses allowed
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA, not expiring before start date
  • At least 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department specialty required
  • EPIC charting experience required
