• \n\nEntity / Organization : MUHA (Medical University Hospital Authority / Medical Center)\n\nHours Per Week : 36\n\nScheduled Work Hours / Shift : 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, 7A-7P, every other weekend, rotating holidays.\n\nJob Summary / Purpose : The Chare Nurse plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Identifies expected outcomes for patients' individualized treatment plan.\n\nMinimum Training and Education : Associate's Degree in Nursing. Bachelor's degree preferred.\n\nRequired Licensure, Certifications, Registrations : Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR / AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
