Director of Machining & Manufacturing (NX / 5-Axis)
We're looking for a Director of Machining & Manufacturing to lead and scale a growing CNC team supporting engineering, fabrication, and assembly. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, well-funded aerospace / defense startup and build a high-performing machining team from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Lead, hire, and develop a team of 6–7 machinists.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in NX programming and 5-axis machining (Matsuura MX-520 PC4).
- Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams to deliver critical parts.
- Drive best practices in regulated environments (DoD / Aerospace).
- Oversee prototyping, low-volume, high-mix manufacturing.
