About Us

Bedford Commons OB-GYN is a well-established private practice with 22 providers (16 physicians and 6 nurse practitioners) serving women and families throughout Southern New Hampshire. Since 1982, we’ve built a reputation for combining advanced, evidence-based care with a highly personalized approach.

We deliver approximately 1,500 babies each year at Elliot Hospital , home to a Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit , and are proud to be one of the largest OB-GYN practices in the region.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a compassionate and collaborative OB-GYN physician to join our hospitalist team providing overnight Labor & Delivery coverage . This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who values teamwork, patient relationships, and a balanced lifestyle.

Our preferred weekend schedule is Friday–Sunday , but we’re also open to considering Thursday–Saturday for the right candidate.

Schedule

  • Three consecutive weekend overnight shifts : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM
  • Flexible monthly scheduling based on your availability
  • Optional outpatient clinic hours weekly to meet with obstetric and postpartum patients

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, overnight coverage on Labor & Delivery (7 PM–7 AM)
  • Manage the care and treatment of hospitalized obstetric patients
  • Provide coverage for the emergency department when the practice is on call
  • Build trusting, long-term relationships with Bedford Commons patients and families

    • Qualifications

  • MD or DO with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • New Hampshire medical license (or eligibility to obtain within three months)
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
