The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with thousands of students nationally for online tutoring. As a tutor, you’ll have flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and impact students’ learning from home.

Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40 / hour for ongoing sessions with the same student. You’ll be paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. You can tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform, and we handle the logistics of payments.

The platform matches you with students suited to your teaching style and expertise, and there is AI-powered Tutor Copilot that provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to help save prep time and focus on effective teaching.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
