Core duties include intake assessments, medication administration, wound care, assisting with procedures, and collaborating with providers. Practice is within the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and facility policies and security protocols.What You'll Do (Essential Functions) : Complete intake questionnaires, obtain vital signs, and document in the EHR / medical record, MAR, and jail management system.Triage patient requests and ensure timely, appropriate care.Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care within scope.Provide pre-op / post-op care (e.g., monitor IV infusions, administer antibiotics per orders, monitor drains / braces / casts / splints).Administer medications as ordered by a physician, NP, or PA; document and maintain medication, narcotics, and supply inventories.Perform blood glucose checks and administer insulin per orders.Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., phlebotomy, urine dip, pregnancy tests, glucose).Deliver evidence-based wound care as ordered; document and arrange cate patients on health topics and chronic-disease self-management.Instruct on proper use of durable medical llaborate with mental health clinicians, physicians, and other team members; report observations promptly to the ordinate records from external providers to support continuity of care.Assist providers during examinations and procedures.Support care plans for patients with special needs.Maintain accurate counts / inventory of narcotics, sharps, stock medications, insulin supplies, emergency kits, and medical equipment.Safeguard medical records and PHI in accordance with HIPAA and facility (including CCSO) policies.Practice within the legal boundaries of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and facility clinical / administrative policies.Qualifications : RequiredCurrent Oklahoma LPN license in good standing.1+ year of LPN experience (2+ preferred).Current CPR (or obtain upon hire).Legally authorized to work in the United States.Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance issued by the Cleveland County Sheriffs Office to work within secure jail areas. (No consumer credit check is performed.)PreferredExperience in emergency departments, acute care, or correctional settings.IV-therapy experience / competency (or willingness to complete employer training / competency).Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills; calm and professional under pressure.Work Environment & Physical QualificationsSecure correctional healthcare environment with appropriate PPE and infection-control protocols.
