About The Position

• Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.
• There is also a pass / fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions.

• Medical-Surgical B2C
• Unit : MedSurg B2C- # beds : 29 beds- Certs : BLS, ACLS- Ratios : 1 : 4 ratio, days and nights- Charge Nurse : Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor.- Nurse Aides : PCTS on days. 1 PCT or SWAT RN at night to task.- Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday. - Scrub Color : Navy- Tele : GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read.- Vents : NA- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : Must call Physician.- IV Team : No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks.- RT 24 / 7 : Yes - Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days.- Shifts : 12 hrs. 7-7.- Floating : Float to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2D- Floor specific orientation : 2 shifts on the floor.- Common diagnosis / Types of patients : General MedSurg patients that require tele. Amio, Cardizem to titrate down only.- Additional Notes : Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone). Is the \"new grad training unit\", all new grads train with a \"clinical scholar\" for 4 weeks. Each week patient load increases to 1 : 4 final week. Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level : 1 Care Shift Notes : 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks; first to float, could float to sister facility MGMC Required , BLS Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
