Solar Electrician Opportunity

Aerotek is hiring for a Solar Electrician with weekly pay in Paramus, NJ. The Commercial Solar Electrician is responsible for installing, wiring, and commissioning photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial buildings with flat roofs. This role ensures compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications while delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions.

Responsibilities include :

• Electrical Installation : Install and terminate electrical wiring for PV systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and disconnects.
• Run conduit and perform wire pulls across flat roof environments.
• System Integration : Connect solar arrays to building electrical systems and verify proper grounding.
• Configure and test inverters, monitoring systems, and other electrical components.
• Site Assessment & Planning : Review project plans and diagrams to determine optimal layout and wiring routes.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and manufacturer specifications.
• Safety & Compliance : Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, including fall protection and electrical safety.
• Perform lockout / tagout procedures during installation and maintenance.
• Quality Assurance : Conduct system performance tests and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Document installation details and maintain accurate records for inspections.

Job Type & Location : This is a contract position based out of Paramus, NJ.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
