Job Description

Sylmar Health & Rehabilitation Center is a locked psychiatric facility in the San Fernando Valley. We are looking for a full-time Activity Aid to join our team!

Summary of Position :  The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by a Supervisor.

Work Hours :   12pm-8pm 5 days a week with either Friday-Saturday off or Sunday-Monday off

Duties :

Education :  Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Qualifications :

Experience in mental health and substance abuse populations preferred but not required

Ability to build a rapport with patients

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
