BJC HealthCare is now hiring a Full-Time Advanced Modality Technologist at our Alton Memorial Hospital location. Position Details : Sign-On Bonus $5,000 (for eligible applicants) 40 Hours Per Week ( 8 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m.) Tuesday thru Friday Every 8th Weekend Required (Sat & Sun) Holiday Rotation Required (2 Per Year) Call Shifts Available But Not Required! Willing to cross-train in Mammography or Dexa! (Must be R.T.(R) Registered) Overview Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more. The Radiology department is equipped with CR and PACs technology to do general radiology in the department, as well as within the ED, OR and hospital floors. Digital Mammography (such as screenings, diagnostic work-ups, stereotactic breast biopsies, plus Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and / or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and / or treatment, and quality control. Responsibilities Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
