Job Summary : A Service Clerk (Deli) is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests. S / he are responsible for the merchandise in the deli department, which includes : receiving, stocking, preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, rotating, and merchandising the department's products. Deli products include, but are not limited to : deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, gourmet, and specialty items. As a team member of Pete's Fresh Market it is important that Pete's Four Pillars of Value, Aesthetic, Quality, and Customer Service are always exemplified.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Must have a love and passion for deli items, with an extensive knowledge specific to the items Pete's carries.
• Assist customers by providing knowledge and expertise; advising and guiding them to make the proper selection.
• Possess the knowledge and training of how to effectively use and maintain all deli equipment (ex. electric slicer).
• Assist all customers at the service counter with courtesy, professionalism and timeliness.
• Must possess full knowledge of sanitation requirements and regulations.
• Perform all clean-up duties that are required in deli department in an efficient and timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

Starting hourly rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and will vary based on things like location, experience and qualifications. All positions are eligible for Overtime, and some positions will have guaranteed Overtime available.

Hourly Rate is local minimum + $3 range.
