Staff Accountant
A reputable real estate development and property management firm headquartered in Solana Beach is hiring a Staff Accountant to support their corporate and property-level accounting functions. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience using QuickBooks Enterprise.
Responsibilities :
Manage daily accounting operations for multiple property entities.
Record journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and ensure month-end accuracy.
Process tenant billings, CAM reconciliations, and rent collections.
Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
Track project budgets, expenses, and construction draws.
Work with external auditors and support year-end tax preparation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate accounting practices and local regulations.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise (required).
Advanced Excel skills (reporting and reconciliation experience required).
Understanding of accrual accounting and intercompany transactions.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
