About the Role :
The Engineer Preventive Maintenance at ADERO Scottsdale Resort plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all resort facilities and equipment through systematic preventive maintenance programs. This position focuses on proactively identifying potential issues before they result in equipment failure or operational downtime, thereby supporting a seamless guest experience. The engineer will collaborate closely with various departments to schedule and execute maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to resort operations. By maintaining detailed records and reports, the engineer contributes to continuous improvement efforts and compliance with safety standards. Ultimately, this role is essential in preserving the resort’s infrastructure integrity and enhancing overall operational performance.
Minimum Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preventive maintenance or engineering roles, preferably within hospitality or commercial facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management.Experience working in a luxury resort or hospitality environment.Certification in preventive maintenance or reliability engineering (e.g., CMRP).Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to resort operations.Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems maintenance.Responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the resort.Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests to identify wear, malfunctions, or potential failures in equipment and infrastructure.Coordinate with operations and other departments to plan maintenance activities that minimize impact on guest services and resort activities.Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation to support audit and safety requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly, escalating complex problems to senior engineers or external specialists as needed.Recommend and assist in the procurement of replacement parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.Train and guide junior maintenance staff or contractors on preventive maintenance procedures and safety protocols.Skills :
