Responsibilities Work in a Transfer Center - Clinical unit with an emphasis on coordinating patient transfers and no direct hands-on care Handle an average caseload of 12 cases per shift, potentially managing 10-15 cases simultaneously Patient types include all populations requiring inter-facility transfers within and outside of the Dignity system Acute care environment utilizing Cerner EMR, TeleTracking bed management system, Tiger Connect, and multiple Google applications Night shifts available (7p-7a, 1a-1p, 3a-3p) with every other weekend and potential holiday coverage required No floating required Casual dress code; clean scrubs in any color or professional jeans and hoodies permitted Facilitate patient transfers by assessing clinical information, providing patient reports, and coordinating with physicians, specialists, and receiving facilities Daily duties involve requesting beds and ensuring proper placement at appropriate facilities Supportive team environment with supervisors and leadership available onsite Orientation includes 1 day of general hospital orientation and 3-5 days of departmental training, which may occur on any shift First time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the past year; PRN work via agencies is acceptable Limited to no RTO is permitted; requests are rarely accommodated Free onsite parking and complimentary EV charging provided Must be able to work holidays as needed Requirements Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum 2 years recent ICU, ED, or transfer center experience; total of 3 years RN experience required Current BLS certification required Strong critical care assessment and clinical judgment skills mandatory Experience in acute care settings is required Proficiency with Cerner or Epic EMR systems Ability to use multi-application systems including bed management and secure texting platforms Passage of the Relias Dysrhythmia exam required prior to acceptance; may use prior results from the last 12 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630395.
