Description\n\nSummary : \n\nWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Care team on a full-time basis for a seasonal contract. In this role, you will practice independently in a dynamic clinical setting, providing routine and complex care to patients. You will work to set long-range goals and effectively manage various clinical situations, making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers.\n\nResponsibilities : \n
- Demonstrate leadership competencies whether as a Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.\n
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care by following the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.\n
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families while adhering to your level of practice.\n
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.\n
- Document patient records, including history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.\n
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, or caregivers, identifying resources and addressing issues as necessary.\n\nJob Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills\n
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.\n\nExperience\n
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n
- BLS required.\n
- RN License in the state of employment or compact required.\n\nPosition Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills\n\nNewly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member, and initial onboarding requirements are validated through successful completion of competency validations.\n\nNewly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation to enhance their skills and competencies.\n\nComplete all annual competency verification requirements.\n\nExperience\n\nAt least one year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n\nCurrent ACLS and PALS certifications are required.\n\nAll associates must obtain required certifications within the designated timeframe as per the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification, and Registration Verification Policy.\n\nCredential Grace Periods : \n
- Experienced Associates must obtain ACLS and PALS within 30 days of hire, while candidates new to the specialty have a 90-day period.\n\nWork Schedule : \n\n7AM - 7PM\n\nWork Type : \n\nFull Time, 12 Week Contract
