Job Summary :
The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing nursing care delivery in the Family Medicine Clinic, ensuring high-quality, culturally sensitive care across all age groups—from newborns to the elderly. This role includes clinical leadership, care coordination, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
Direct and coordinate patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation)Provide clinical leadership and act as a resource for nursing staffSupervise RNs, LPNs, CMAs, PCTs, and unit secretariesReview resumes and assist in staffing, including agency / travel nursesCollaborate with other charge nurses to improve clinic operations and patient flowMaintain compliance with nursing standards and regulatory guidelinesRequirements :
Education : Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)Experience : Minimum 4 years of charge nurse experience in a clinic or urgent care settingCertifications : BLS (required); COVID-19 vaccination proof requiredLicensure : Active and unencumbered RN license in AlaskaSkills & Competencies :
