Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – Atlantic City, NJ
Location : Atlantic City, New Jersey
Schedule : Days | 5x8s | Monday–Friday
Duration : 20 weeks (Start ASAP through January 2026)
We are seeking an experienced Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a collaborative interdisciplinary team at a reputable facility in Atlantic City, NJ. This role focuses on individualized patient care, rehabilitation planning, and delivery of effective therapeutic interventions in an acute or post-acute setting.
Position Summary :
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and supervising individualized OT treatment plans in accordance with applicable clinical standards and regulations. This includes patient evaluations, treatment implementation, collaboration with care teams, and overseeing COTAs and students.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patient functionality and therapy needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient / family goals
Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and discharge planning
Provide patient and family education on adaptive strategies and equipment
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with facility protocols
Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), students, and assist in staff onboarding
Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration with the healthcare team
Uphold patient confidentiality and ensure safety in all therapy practices
Attend scheduled patient care meetings, contribute to treatment updates, and adjust care as needed
Issue or recommend equipment for patients and document usage / training appropriately
Ensure flexibility in daily scheduling, and resolve scheduling conflicts when necessary
Adhere to facility standards for appearance, attendance, and professionalism
Qualifications :
Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of New Jersey
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (LTAC or acute care preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and discharge planning
