Travel Med / Surg Telemetry Float Nurse - $2,470 per week

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
• Float pool position covering all inpatient units based on competency (ICU, Step-down, Medical / Surgical)
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• Holiday coverage if needed
• No call requirement, but possible standby if census is down
• Patient ratios vary by unit : Med / Surg 1 : 6, Step-down 1 : 4 / 5, ICU 1 : 2 / 3
• Must have Med / Surg background with Step-down experience preferred
• Required to titrate drips in step-down areas including Heparin, Cardizem, nitro, cardene, insulin, dobutamine, dopamine, and others
• Work with cardiac patients, ortho / neuro, surgical, and medical patients varying by unit
• Telemetry monitoring with monitor techs available, CVU reads own strips
• RT equipment includes CPAP and BiPap on all units, vents in ICU, chronic trach vents in step-down
• Unit assignments obtained by calling staffing office daily
• Required certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Royal blue scrub color required
• 3-4 shift unit / department specific orientation
• EPIC charting system
• Must submit driver's license with current permanent address
