Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Clinical Research Nurse to join their team. The primary responsibilities include collaborating with research team leaders and principal investigators to initiate and manage all aspects of Phase I-IV clinical trials, including both industry-sponsored trials and investigator-initiated trials. The role involves working directly with physicians to design, set-up, and execute clinical trials, as well as providing education to clinical teams and support to research coordinators as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with research team leaders and principal investigators for study procedures of new IITs and clinical trials.
Design, set-up, and execute clinical trials with physicians, and analyze data to determine response and clinical outcomes.
Develop and maintain ongoing communication with clinical teams and provide necessary education and support.
Coordinate activities of the oncology team in caring for subjects, including administering or overseeing administration of medications and other treatments.
Review clinical and laboratory data, reporting adverse events to the PI and communicating with medical staff regarding management.
Triage subject inquiries regarding protocols and refer to the PI or medical team as needed.
Collect, review, and report study data and coordinate study document submissions to applicable committees for approval.
Provide coverage and support to research nurses and coordinators for staffing needs.
Flexible schedule required, with responsibilities occurring outside of usual hours and some travel for conferences.
Act independently with minimal supervision, potentially in a lead capacity and backup to supervisor.
Manage complex clinical trials and registries and represent the clinical research unit in various meetings and events.
