- Current unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina\n\n
- One year of prior Women's Surgical Services experience preferred\n\n
- BSN preferred\n\n
- Successful completion of nursing service orientation program\n\n
- Attends IV Therapy training and / or demonstrates competency in intravenous therapy within one year\n\n
- Attends Skills Fair and completes annual hospital competency requirements\n\n
- Maintains competency and / or certification specific to departmental requirements\n\n
- BCLS current at hire\n\n
- NRP certification current or obtained within orientation\n\n
- STABLE preferred\n\n
- Advanced certification in specialty and participation in professional organization(s) encouraged\nWhat You'll Do : \n\n
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare needs for assigned patients\n\n
- Delivering care to a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, unless otherwise specified\n\n
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to support unit and hospital goals\n\n
- Adhering to established practice standards and clinical guidelines for the assigned area\n\n
- Flexibility to float to other comparable nursing units as needed\n\n
- Understands regulatory requirements and professional practice guidelines\n\n
- Demonstrates competency in department-specific skills and acts as a resource / mentor for others\n\n
- Engages in leadership activities and team development\n\n
- Collaborates professionally with other departments to ensure patient-centered care\n\n
- Exhibits strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, team building, and leadership\n\n
- Attends ongoing leadership training courses offered by the facility\n\n
- Educates team members on practice updates, regulatory changes, and organizational standards\n\n
- Assists in staff performance evaluation and competency checks\n\n
- Delegates patient care tasks appropriately based on staff experience and skills\n\n
- Exercises independent judgment and initiative within scope of practice\n\n
- Uses sound decision-making in high-pressure situations\n\n
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information\n\n
