About The Position

We are seeking an Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant for a 7-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Sep 19, 2025. This position offers weekday day shifts from 10A to 7P, Monday through Friday, and involves DOT physicals, urgent care, and occupational medicine cases. Candidates must hold current DOT and DEA certifications and be comfortable performing physicals, diagnosing, and treating patients in a dynamic clinical environment utilizing Athenahealth EMR.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform DOT and occupational physicals
  • Diagnose and treat patients presenting for urgent care and occupational medicine needs
  • Document care and maintain patient records using Athenahealth EMR
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation and DEA regulations
  • Provide high-quality care in a fast-paced setting
  • Additional Information

  • Active California license required
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required
  • Prior experience in occupational medicine or urgent care preferred
