Senior Tax Manager – Private Client Services - Boston / Foxborough, MA (Onsite with Flexibility)

ABGI Talent Solutions is hiring a Senior Tax Manager on behalf of a highly respected public accounting firm in the Greater Boston area. This opportunity is ideal for a CPA with a deep background in public accounting and a passion for advising high-net-worth individuals, private clients, and closely held entities. This is a full-time, primarily onsite role with flexibility and long-term growth potential.

About the Role :

As a Senior Tax Manager, you’ll take the lead on complex tax matters for private clients, including individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and S-Corps. You’ll manage client engagements from strategy through compliance, mentor a close-knit team of tax professionals, and work directly with firm leadership. This is a visible, relationship-driven role with the autonomy to shape client outcomes and build long-term advisory relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and S-corporations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for private clients.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, providing guidance on tax implications of wealth transfers, charitable giving, estate planning, and closely held business structures.
  • Oversee staff workflows, delegate responsibilities, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise junior and mid-level team members.
  • Manage client relationships with a consultative approach to service and communication.
  • Identify tax risk areas and proactively develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on firm-wide initiatives and client engagement strategy.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • CPA license required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Significant experience in private client services, with deep knowledge of individual, trust, estate, and partnership taxation.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with Lacerte, QuickBooks, BNA Tax Planner, and CaseWare is preferred.
  • Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience).
