Security Officer - Logistics Access Control

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Cranbury, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves verifying credentials, responding to alarms, and providing outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. Pay Rate : $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wed 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and delivery personnel with access-related inquiries and directions.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
